Newspaper Interview

This past Friday morning, Pro Wrestling Revolution made a trip to the offices of El Mensajero to take part in an interview with Octagoncito, Pequeno Pierroth and Gabriel Ramirez, owner of Pro Wrestling Revolution LLC. It was very well done interview and is going to give all of the readers a great look at the lifes of a luchador but a breakdown on how you get to become a “mini”. The lengths these athletes went through to get to this point is a story that needs to be told.

We encourage all our fans to pick up your free copy of El Mensajero, they are located out through the entire Bay Area. If you don’t get a chance to see at a newsstand, check them out online here. They have been a huge asset in Pro Wrestling Revolution and we are thankful to have them as one of our partners.

Results – Oakland 09.14.08

Oakland joined the Revolution this past weekend as we took part in the Mariachi Magic festival that was hosted by El Mensajero and Amigo Reality. There were many attractions taken place during the festival, obviously Mariachi bands, Radio stages, mechanical bulls and tons of food and vendors.

Once the Pro Wrestling Revolution ring was being set up, the people were lining up and taking their places as they did not want to miss the show. Seeing all the excitement in all of the faces from kids to adults is always a pleasure to see and even better to be a part of.  We are very thankful for everybody’s help in making this the success it was and we look forward on doing this again next year.

Here are the results and images from the show.

Thank you Oakland… ¡Muchas Gracias!

What a day, and it was well worth the wait. Thank you to all that made this possible, from El Mensajero, Amigo Reality and all of our brothers and sisters… thank you. We will have full results and images up next week. It was a beautiful day and and even better turn out. A picture is worth a…

The Revolution comes to Oakland

Revolution at Mariachi Magic!Pro Wrestling Revolution makes its debut in the city of Oakland on Sunday September 14th as one of the main attractions that is part of Mariachi Magic festival. This show was made possible because of our partnership with El Mensajero newspaper. We encourage everybody to come out early and enjoy the festival as ir will have great food, music and pro wrestling… LUCHA LIBRE!

This event for us will be a bit different from the shows we have had in the past.  We will have two shows set for this day. The first show will start promptly at 2pm and the second show will start at 4pm. This gives everybody an opportunity to enjoy all the festivities and events taking place that day. There is standing room only, so make sure you get your tacos of carne asada and make your way over to ringside.

The show will have all your favorite Pro Wrestling Revolution wrestlers you have all come to love and we are very excited to bring all this to Oakland. One half of the Pro Wrestling Revolution tag team champions, Hijo de Rey Misterio will be making his presence felt as he tags with another son of a legend, El Hijo del Sicodelico, as they both take on the much despised team of “The Border Patrol”.

“Old School” Oliver John on SLAM!

Pro Wrestling Revolution wrestler “Old School” Oliver John was featured in a story for SLAM! Wrestling. It is very well written and excited to see it is now out for the public to read and learn a little bit more of this talented athlete. We want to thank Greg Oliver for allowing us to be part of his write up and glad we were able to help.

Many times in life and even more in professional wrestling, people are over looked and miss out on all the great abilities and what that person can bring to the table. Oliver John is somebody that can hit the ground running and we are very grateful to have him in our company, but something tells me, that wont be for much longer.

“I was a competitive powerlifter as a teenager. I had a Road Warriors shirt on at the gym, and he was coming out, he was leaving the gym and I was getting done with the meet. He said, ‘Hey, I know those guys on your shirt.'” They started talking, and it grew in a few years to a true friendship. “Finally, in ’94, we opened up a school together. That’s when I formally started training in a ring.”
