Crazy Land… 2013 Pro Wrestling Revolution!

Pro Wrestling Revolution and Masked Republic were very proud to be selected to coordinate this exciting episode of Sony/Discovery/IMAX’s 3Net’s show Crazy Land. This groundbreaking episode not only looked into the lives of those inside of Masked Republic’s developmental league Pro Wrestling Revolution, but it marked the very 1st 3D pro wrestling/lucha libre broadcast in world history! (The video footage here is a low res 2D version of the show).

Watsonville – January 19th, 2014

Pro Wrestling Revolution returns to Watsonville on January 19, 2014 as we kick off our sixth year with a bang. We always look forward to returning to Watsonville as we always feel right at home when we are there. This show gives us the debut of many faces. Extreme Tiger who has made a name for himself in Mexico for AAA. Pro Wrestling Revolution has always enjoyed having second and third generation luchadores, and this show we bring you Cien Caras Jr., and making their debut from the Pro Wrestling Revolution Training Academy, Los Campesinos.

We have our Pro Wrestling Revolution World Heavyweight Champion and one half of the World Tag Team Champion, Blue Demon Dr., Hijo de Rey Misterio, La Migra®, El Mariachi, KAFU, El Ultimo Panda, and so many more! Disbands NWA Mexico, Will Launch Pro Wrestling Revolution in Mexico

After years promoting events under the NWA banner in Mexico, Blue Demon Jr., is handing off the NWA operation as of November 13th. But, the lucha legend and champion is not done by far – neither in the ring, nor as a promoter. Blue Demon Jr. has accepted the offer of becoming a part owner of Pro Wrestling Revolution, LLC.

Realizing the success of Pro Wrestling Revolution, the top independent lucha libre brand in the United States; drawing large crowds, a weekly TV show on Azteca America in 5 million homes, as well as seen on numerous TV news stories and specials including the Travel Channel, The New York Times, Discovery Channel and much more. Pro Wrestling Revolution has established relationships beyond the lucha world including working with Major League Baseballs’; San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics and Major League Soccers’; San Jose Earthquakes.

“We have worked very hard in the lucha libre community to establish Pro Wrestling Revolution. We are proud that lucha libre legend Blue Demon Jr. has taken notice of our passion and has decided to accept our offer, with the addition of Blue Demon Jr, we look forward to having an presence in Mexico” said Pro Wrestling Revolution owner/promoter Gabriel Ramirez.

Hyundai commercial features Pro Wrestling Revolution

Pro Wrestling Revolution was contacted by Hyundai of Stockton to be featured in their marketing for their new campaign. We are excited and thankful for the opportunity and thankful to our media partners for making this possible. The campaign is set and the first commercial has been shot and we are ready for the next set.

Taking part in the commercial are, from La Migra® – Bryan Cage, El Pistolero, and Pro Wrestling Training Academy student Christian Rocha. They all had important roles and some have reoccurring ones. Everybody who took part from the agency, dealership and the production crew were all impressed with our team.

We look forward to our continued partnership and sharing the finished product with all our fans.

Revolution World Champion on HBO

Pro Wrestling Revolution World Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion, Blue Demon Jr., finished filming and episode of “Hablar” for HBO Latino. It is such an honor to have him represent a Latino in the United States, represent the beautiful sport of Lucha Libre and be a part of our Revolution family.

The popular HBO Latino series, putting the faces and voices of U.S. Latinos on the screen like never before. Hear their funny, poignant and truthful stories about being Latino in the U.S.

From Univision’s Mira Quien Baila (MQB) to HBO Latino’s “Hablar”, and so much other of media that is opening up, there is no limit to this Living Legend… Viva!

Results: Dia de los Muertos 10.26.13

Pro Wrestling Revolution took part of the Dia de los Muertos on Saturday, October 26th at The National Hispanic University. The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican celebration. A day of rememberance and celebration in honor of the dead. Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of life and death…a festive and joyous event.

The matches were fun and exciting to all the families who came out to the event and were treated to a free Lucha Libre show. Seeing the developments of the students from the Pro Wrestling Revolution Training Academy is exciting to see as new talent gets produced.

We are thankful to have taken part of such a great and traditional event like “Dia de los Muertos” , we will see you all next year… Viva!

Melissa Tops 2013 PWI Female 50!

Pro Wrestling Revolution is proud to announce that today Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed the the woman topping this year’s Female 50, and it’s none other than Pro Wrestling Revolution World Womans Champion Cheerleader Melissa. The news was revealed at SHIMMER tapings, with PWI’s Dan Murphy making the announcement in the middle of the ring before awarding Melissa with a plaque.

Melissa is a two time Pro Wrestling Revolution World Womans champion, defeating Sarita in San Francisco after it was vacant, and defeating Ivelisse Velez to regain the title after a major upset in Puerto Rico. This is the first time Cheerleader Melissa has topped the PWI list.

VIva los Gigantes – Runnin With Rachel!

Pro Wrestling Revolution, LLC’s partnership with Major League Baseball’s San Francisco Giants is something we are very proud of. This year we worked with them on their Fiesta Day with Rachel from “Running with Rachel”. Rachel celebrates Fiesta Gigantes by testing out her Lucha Libre wrestling moves

It was a blast doing this and thankfully we have wrestlers like El Mariachi, El Ultimo Panda, La Furiosa and Pro Wrestling Revolution Training Academy student Katherine Ann Rowe who all gave up their day to make this work.

San Jose – October 26th, 2013

Pro Wrestling Revolution is excited to announce that we will returning to San Jose, our hometown on Saturday, October 26th from 11am to 6pm at The National Hispanic University campus. The event is free and open to the public. The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican celebration. A day of rememberance and celebration in honor of the dead. Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of life and death…a festive and joyous event.

There will be all types of entetainment from Danza Azteca, Folklorico Mexicano, Urban Cumbia, Rock en Español, Skate Ramps and of course, the main attraction is Lucha Libre from Pro Wrestling Revolution, we will be on at 2pm & 4pm.

We are thankful to be taking part of such a great and traditional event like “Dia de los Muertos” We encourage all our fans to come and enjoy a great day of entertainment, culture, food and of course… Lucha Libre!

Pro Wrestling Revolution has been a part of the Santa Cruz County Fair in Watsonville for four years and this past event was the biggest one yet. The crowd arrived earlier, they brought tons of energy and made the show one of our most memorable yet.

Having Konnan a part of our event was a great learning experience for the talent that made an influence for a time to come. His eagerness to give back to the industry of professional wrestling is a breathe a fresh air, from working with wrestlers with years of experience or someone who is just breaking in, his goal is for all to succeed, for the success of Pro Wrestling and Lucha LIbre. We look forward to working with Konnan for years to come.
